Zion has two retired pastors who fill our pulpit four Sunday's each month. Tim Wiesner, a retired Baptist pastor who ministers to us twice each month; Pastor Harry Cross, also retired , a Methodist pastor who also fills our pulpit twice each month. Zion is also fortunate to have a number of lay leaders skilled at delivering God's Word when a pastor is not available.

Communion Each Sunday

In 1 Corinthians Chpt. 11, Paul the Apostle gives instructions on preparing for and taking Communion. He starts out by explaining that Communion is a sacred time and that it should not be considered a lighthearted event (vs. 18-22). The focus of Communion is to remember the Lord and thank Him for His sacrifice.

All visitors are welcome join the table to participate in the Lords Supper as you wish. We only ask that each person prepare themselves as St. Paul has instructed and that children should be old enough to have an understanding of these biblical obligations.

Paul encourages believers to examine themselves before partaking in Communion. He writes, "Let a person examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.' This self-examination involves recognizing our need for forgiveness, confessing our sins, and seeking reconciliation with God (1 Corinthians 11:28).
