ZION'S Bike Hostel -- The Perfect SAG Stop

At Zion Lutheran Church, we offer a safe space for cross-country bicyclists who are in need of rest.  We offer A/C, two beds, refrigerator, a full service kitchen and a private shower.  All of our amenities are designed for your comfort and pleasure along your route.  Whether your ride  is across Kansas or  coast to coast, your hospitality stay with us is welcome.  

This is the door to an Oasis for cross country cyclists.  Your home away from home for a night or more. (North end of Bldg.)  Keys to the door are available at Harley's Bicycle Shop at 7th and Main Street---about 5 blocks away.  After hours see instructions on South church door OR If you are in-bound on a Sunday or Monday you may call ahead to 1-620-899-4095 for instructions.

How long since you've crashed in a real bed?  Linens and pillow are provided.  When you leave strip the sheets and pillow cases and toss them in a basket.  The church ladies will do the washing.  Sleep, take a nap, watch TV---snoring optional of course.  The TV receives numerous local channels and has a built in DVD player with some DVD's available.  Wi-Fi address is posted.  

Everything in the Hostel Fridge or on the Ride Table is yours unless a rider has put his name on it. Zion has experienced riders who stock much of what we believe your body may need and those refreshing things we think you may enjoy.  If you know of something you believe may improve this amenity  please leave us a note.

 It's not fancy but this shower has replaced a lot of sweat and fatigue with a happy body.  Soap, shampoo, and towels are available for you to use. Wow!! It's going to feel soo good. Just toss the used towel in a basket, lay back and re-generate.  Laundry is available in the adjacent room or for larger loads there is a LAUNDRY MAT just an easy 7 blocks away at 5th and Adams.

Zion's bicycle Hostel has added a cloths washer and dryer for our cyclists.   It is located in the utility room adjacent to Your Shower.  What a great way to start your cycling day; a refreshing shower after a good nights sleep in an air conditioned room in a real bed.  Maybe a hot breakfast and a clean fresh chamois.....looks like maybe a hundred mile day may be  waiting??  Ride safe. 

  Wow - just like home. Make spaghetti or fry a burger. Our kitchen is yours. Some ingredients you may find in the Hostel stage refrigerator or you may need a grocery store. There are stores located at 13th and Main (5 blocks) or 5th and Adams (9 blocks). Also, just like home you need to do your dishes and put them away. Thanks. 

  Hope you'll sign our guest cyclist register. It's not required of course but the congregation likes to know who our cycling guests are and where they are from. Leave us a note if you feel inclined. We've had cyclists from many foreign countries and most states since our Hostel began in the 1970's.
